With that, Yun Yi's figure flashed like a phantom as he launched another attack. His movements were swift and precise, each detail revealing his profound understanding of combat and unparalleled talent. This time, he held nothing back, concentrating all his strength to thrust the uniquely evolved proboscis fiercely toward the Devourer of Heaven Daoist. The weapon gleamed coldly under the sunlight, as if imbued with an ancient and mysterious power. A flicker of disbelief crossed the Daoist’s eyes; he had never anticipated such a devastating strike from Yun Yi. The proboscis easily pierced through his defenses, striking at his vital point. With a heavy thud, the Daoist’s body stiffened abruptly before slowly collapsing to the ground—a great warrior had fallen. Without hesitation, Yun Yi immediately activated his Qi and Blood Technique, ravenously absorbing the remaining cultivation and life force of the fallen Daoist. The power surged within him like rivers flowing into the sea, continuously amplifying his demonic strength. As the power flooded in, Yun Yi clearly felt his cultivation level skyrocketing. Finally, amid a roaring sound, he broke through to the second level of Demonic Qi. Yet, this was not all. Yun Yi was astonished to find subtle changes occurring within his body alongside his cultivation advancement. His wings grew broader and more powerful, each feather shimmering with dazzling brilliance as if capable of slicing through the skies. Meanwhile, the silver-white patterns adorning his body became more distinct, glittering like stars and radiating a faint silver glow, adding an aura of mystery and majesty to him. “By the way, how is the blood orb’s current blood volume?” Yun Yi’s mind stirred as he quickly gathered his focus and began to examine his body inwardly. Inside him, the blood orb floated quietly, emitting a faint red light. Upon closer inspection, Yun Yi discovered the blood orb’s volume had indeed increased slightly. Although the increment was not large, it still brought him a glimmer of joy. “Strange. How can a Daoist as powerful as the Devourer of Heaven provide so little blood to the orb, while that giant mosquito wanting to kill me had so much?” Yun Yi muttered to himself, his brow furrowing slightly. Reflecting on his past experiences, a bold hypothesis formed in his mind: perhaps the amount of blood supplied varies with the size and strength level of the living being. Although the giant mosquito was small, its power was extraordinary, enabling it to provide more blood to the orb. At that moment, a faint and familiar voice broke through Yun Yi’s contemplation.

It was Xiaoli’s voice, weak and feeble: “Yun... Yi...” Hearing this, Yun Yi’s heart tightened sharply. He suddenly looked up and saw Xiaoli not far away on the ground, painfully extending her delicate antennae, her eyes filled with desperation and longing. Yun Yi’s heart felt scorched by a fierce fire, overwhelmed by an indescribable sense of responsibility and urgency. He knew all too well that Xiaoli was teetering on the brink of life and death, desperately needing his help. Without any hesitation, Yun Yi spread his wings and transformed into a streak of black lightning, swiftly rushing toward Xiaoli’s location. When he finally reached her side, Xiaoli lay weakly on the ground, her body trembling slightly. Yun Yi carefully lifted her up and asked with deep concern, “Xiaoli, are you alright?” His voice betrayed his anxious worry. Xiaoli forced a faint smile and spoke weakly but firmly, “Don’t worry, I’m not dying yet.” However, before she could finish, she suddenly spat blood—the blood she had previously drawn from humans or other races and stored in her stomach, now uncontrollable due to her grievous wounds. Seeing this, Yun Yi’s heart sank deeply. He watched Xiaoli intently as her complexion grew paler and her gaze more vacant. He was frantic but could only helplessly witness her continuing to cough up blood, the torment cutting him like a blade. Yet, in this desperate moment, a sudden spark of insight flashed through Yun Yi’s mind. “Right, I can transfer some of my Qi and blood to her!” He slapped his antenna sharply, as if grasping at a lifeline. Quickly, Yun Yi helped Xiaoli into a seated position, letting her lean against him to maintain stability. He then moved behind her, hesitating briefly as if weighing the next move. Finally, Yun Yi made up his mind. He extended his slender antenna and gently placed it on Xiaoli’s back. His antenna trembled slightly, transmitting a warm and resolute force. Closing his eyes, Yun Yi took a deep breath and began slowly channeling his Qi and blood, striving to use his strength to save Xiaoli’s life. His heart brimmed with prayers and hope, wishing for Xiaoli to overcome death’s grasp and rise again. As Yun Yi’s life energy flowed steadily into Xiaoli, her once pale complexion began gradually regaining some color.

Her body’s tremors lessened, growing steadier by the moment. Xiaoli’s eyes slowly opened, shining with surprise and gratitude. She could feel the warm force from Yun Yi’s body continually pouring into her, mending her damaged organs and veins. Yun Yi’s antenna remained pressed against her back as he kept his eyes closed, wholly focused on the transmission of his Qi and blood. His heart was filled with prayers and hope that this power would be strong enough to help Xiaoli defy death and reclaim her vitality. Over time, Xiaoli’s breathing steadied, and her life force gradually strengthened. She gently moved her wings; though still weak, she could feel her strength inching back. Finally, when Yun Yi sensed her vital signs had stabilized, he slowly withdrew his antenna. Opening his eyes, he looked at Xiaoli before him, a smile of relief and joy lighting his face. Xiaoli returned his gaze with deep respect and gratitude shining in her eyes. “Thank you, Yun Yi,” she said softly, her voice delicate yet sincere. Seeing Yun Yi’s slightly pale face from the blood transfer, Xiaoli felt a warm surge mixed with a touch of guilt. “It’s nothing. I promised your father I’d take care of you,” Yun Yi replied firmly, shaking his head gently. “Mm,” Xiaoli responded quietly before her expression suddenly grew serious as if recalling something important. “By the way, Yun Yi, in the Devourer of Heaven Daoist’s lair, there’s an even more powerful clan leader. That one is the true mastermind behind everything.” “What’s their cultivation level?” Yun Yi frowned, a sense of foreboding rising within him. “At least much higher than the Devourer of Heaven Daoist,” Xiaoli’s voice trembled slightly, clearly fearful of that clan leader. “What? That strong?” Yun Yi felt a chill run down his spine, and the thought of fleeing flashed through his mind. “Let’s leave this place!” Without glancing at the corpses of mosquitoes around, Yun Yi proposed what seemed like an escape but was actually a prudent choice. Yet Xiaoli hesitated.
