Chapter Fifteen: The Response

Hua Yun soon removed the internal organs and scales, cutting away the laser-scorched flesh, leaving about ten pounds of meat.
“Should I test it first?” Hua Yun murmured to herself. Having arrived in this new world, she still valued her life dearly.
Fortunately, the floating orb had a testing function. Thinking this through, Hua Yun placed the carp dolphin beast meat on it.
-- Testing item: carp dolphin beast meat. Contains trace unsafe factors, but meets edible standards.
“Unsafe factors”—such a vague description.
Unable to resist, Hua Yun used her psychic power to scan it directly and found the difference from modern meat wasn’t significant; it just contained an element more active than usual, likely due to the unique interstellar environment.
However… when she tested the carp dolphin beast’s head and internal organs separately, as soon as she placed the head on the device, it started beeping loudly.
-- Testing item: carp dolphin beast head. Contains a large amount of agitation factors. Please handle promptly.
A small window popped up.
-- Would you like to destroy immediately? Please select Yes or No --
Hua Yun didn’t choose yes but removed the beast’s head and put the internal organs on instead.
Before she could react, the automatic disposal device had already processed the internal organs.
Looking back at the carp dolphin beast’s head, she understood.
So… the reason was truly that interstellar people couldn’t properly handle these ingredients, and because of mutations in interstellar flora and fauna, improper preparation could do even more harm to the body.
But how was she supposed to eat this meat?
Hua Yun stood and headed toward a nearby mountain. The plants there were relatively harmless because it was close to the home planet, and the interstellar authorities periodically sent personnel for safety inspections.
Thus, even if some plants had defensive mechanisms, they wouldn’t be dangerous.
Moreover, Hua Yun herself possessed plant-based abilities, so she didn’t feel threatened.
Sure enough, she encountered no danger along the way and even picked a few wild vegetables. Although these vegetables looked peculiar, tests showed they posed no threat.
Excellent—meat and vegetables, time for barbecue.
Pity there weren’t many seasonings; it seemed she’d have to browse the star network to find substitutes.
Hua Yun once again double-checked the prepared food with the video system to confirm safety, then took a bite. Mmm—the joy of tasting good food was unmatched.
Unfortunately, the rice she had bought on the star network some time ago still hadn’t arrived—not due to logistics, but because the yield was limited and many people were queued. She had been waiting for half a month. For someone accustomed to regular bowls of rice in her previous life, this felt utterly absurd.

However… Hua Yun paused, her thoughts settling. Perhaps she should grow some herself—the land was ample. “System!”
A screen appeared before her.
This was her golden finger, probably the only connection to her past life besides herself.
It resembled a video app from her previous life, filled with numerous videos. In the past, she would have simply enjoyed watching, but in this life… it was an incredibly powerful tool.
A video platform—those who understand, understand. There’s nothing it can’t offer.
However… her current golden finger was quite limited, allowing only video viewing with no contact list.
The store section remained grayed out, so buying seeds there was wishful thinking. She’d have to purchase them on the star network or request some from the academy!
Still, this system was truly a great helper for infrastructure!
In her previous life, Hua Yun loved watching videos about countryside life and traditional culture. Though she had watched many, she hadn’t always been able to replicate what she saw. But… what if there were step-by-step instructional videos?
Coincidentally, her graduation project was the construction of a barren planet. This was an incredible boon!
She dared to reject the school’s assigned group project to complete the barren planet construction alone, the main reason being her abilities—and this system.
She wanted to create a planet she loved. As for the evaluation, she didn’t believe anyone could resist profound cultural depth. With the system, she had a powerful knowledge base, provided she was willing to learn.
The academy was also willing to supply various resources; she couldn’t think of a reason not to give it her all.
First step: start by building a courtyard!
Who could resist the charm of ancient aesthetics?
Hua Yun grabbed paper and pen and began sketching, hoping to finish the design in a couple of days.
She planned to first build a house for herself. Although the floating orb sufficed for shelter, if possible, she wanted a traditional-style home.
By the time Hua Yun felt sleepy, it was already late. Yet, looking at less than a third of the blueprint completed, progress was slow.
Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Hua Yun, a small stir was brewing on the star network.
This involved Chen Jiao Jiao, who had successfully captivated Hua Yun’s attention. One of her posts had gained some traction today.
However… the comments were not very friendly.
-- Question: My friend wants a double-S planet. What should she do?
The replies poured in.
Page 3/3
-- I want one too, what do I do?
-- Classic, I have a friend!
-- Tell her to quit daydreaming.
-- Double-S? First ask if our alliance even has one.
-- Looking at the time, just tell your friend to go to bed; it’ll come true soon enough.
-- Want a double-S planet? I’m different—I’d be happy just to have a building on the home planet. Dreams aren’t delusions; could your friends be a bit more realistic?
The original poster replied: If she just wants a house, I can give that to her right now!
This wish was easy to fulfill. For Miss Chen, who had been doted on by her family since childhood, a house was trivial.
Sadly, Yun Yun didn’t desire that; her brother wouldn’t allow her to use family resources. Besides… to build a double-S, or even a double-A, or an AB planet, Chen Jiao Jiao and her brother didn’t have such authority.
Though major families had long studied barren planet construction, the investments far exceeded imagination.
-- Wow! Sister, can I be your friend?
-- The OP is a wealthy lady!!!
…
Chen Jiao Jiao, seeing the flood of replies, felt a bit downhearted. Most were just onlookers. Sigh. She didn’t even know what Yun Yun needed or how she could help.
Right, she also wondered how her brother’s investigation was going. If he found anything, he’d tell her immediately. If there was no news by tomorrow, she’d ask again.
Chen Xuyang: Dear sister, thank you so much!
Chen Jiao Jiao continued browsing the star network and suddenly noticed that her close friend had already started a live broadcast today. Unfortunately, she had been in class and only just found out.
She cautiously checked related information, feeling a bit guilty; her close friend had been live streaming, and she hadn’t known. Would Yun Yun be angry?
Sob sob sob~ She wasn’t doing it on purpose!
She wanted to send a message but saw it was late. Knowing her friend’s habits, she must have gone to sleep by now. Why were there so many classes today?
What to do? Should she send a message or not?
