Chapter Sixteen: Live Streaming Strategy
Perhaps it was because she had gone to sleep a bit late, but Hua Yun did not wake up early. After checking her blueprints and freshening up, she continued her work.
The academy required no less than forty hours of live streaming per month. If she wanted to attract a large public audience, she certainly needed more people to know about her.
Noticing a small red dot on her notification bar, she saw messages from both the academy and Chen Jiaojiao.
Hua Yun checked Chen Jiaojiao’s message first; it had been sent early that morning. As she read, she couldn't help but chuckle. Her friend really was something else.
"Jiaojiao: Yunyun, I had classes yesterday and I’m absolutely exhausted! Who knew that purifying plants required so many lessons? Wuwuwu."
"Jiaojiao: And then I realized at night that you actually streamed today! I didn't even get to come and support you!"
"Jiaojiao: I’m going to be your top contributor! That 'Night Wanderer' person who snatched the top spot from me doesn't even believe in you!"
"Jiaojiao: You wait for the next stream; I’ll definitely be there. Just watch how I roast him!"
"Jiaojiao: You didn't cry because I wasn't there, did you? Don't worry, I’ll definitely be there next time!"
Looking at the string of messages and emojis, Hua Yun could practically visualize the expression on Chen Jiaojiao’s face as she typed them.
Hua Yun replied, comforting her friend while sharing her own plans. She urged Jiaojiao to focus on her studies and mentioned that she would return in a few days, as she had classes to attend as well.
Since coming to the Interstellar era, there was so much to learn. Most importantly, she wanted to take combat-related courses. The Interstellar world really required security, and because her spiritual power was plant-based, her current attack capabilities were not very strong. She wondered if there would be an opportunity to improve that in the future.
Seeing Hua Yun’s message, Chen Jiaojiao replied instantly.
After chatting for a while, Hua Yun checked the message from the academy, which stated she could submit a list of necessary items, provided they remained within the budget.
Hua Yun paused, then drafted a list of what she needed and sent it off.
The academy provided her with a monthly budget and did their best to fulfill her requests within those limits. In all honesty, she felt the academy was quite generous. Upon her arrival, they had given her so many things, such as the levitation sphere, and she could regularly apply for additional supplies.
Naturally, the academy had its own calculations. Unless it was a disposable item, anything not reaching an S-rank rating would eventually belong to them anyway. Therefore, they were never stingy when it came to long-term assets, especially construction materials and tools.
As it happened, she was just thinking about needing construction materials and other items that were difficult for her to procure on her own. After confirming that everything on her list fell within the academy’s guidelines and did not exceed the budget, she sent it off.
Shortly after, she received a reply saying the shipment would arrive soon.
Interstellar logistics were truly reliable.
Hua Yun planned to spend the next couple of days touring the planet in her levitation sphere to finalize her layout.
One thing was certain: she looked around and decided she loved this area. She had chosen it as her future residence and her base of operations on this planet.
Right, she also needed to find a place to store supplies. Although she had a spatial button, it wouldn't be convenient for the construction robots to retrieve items from there.
With that thought, she noted down her ideas to evaluate their feasibility and necessity.
Hmm... perhaps she could do as the streamers in the modern era did—edit video clips so those who couldn't watch the live streams could still learn about the planet.
It would save time while highlighting key points and content with clear organization. As for the live streams... she could fix a schedule and announce the topics in advance. Thinking of all this made her head spin; there was so much to do. She would have to take it one step at a time.
After brainstorming, she finally integrated her ideas with the empathic sensor and had a preliminary plan. Once the supplies arrived, she could begin her field inspection.
Thus, Hua Yun spent the next two days circling the small planet, updating the data in her sensor.
At the same time, she discovered a problem: the cabbage she had planted a few days ago was failing. It seemed the soil had issues, and the surrounding exotic energy was seeping in.
After discovering this, she enclosed that small plot with a protective shield, which halted the spread.
However, since the shield covered a large area, she took the time to extract all the negative energy from the soil within it.
Every day, she would fall into a deep sleep after exhausting her psychic energy. To her surprise, every time she woke up, her spiritual and psychic powers had grown. In the modern era, the growth rate had been agonizingly slow—less in a whole year than what she gained in a single day in the Interstellar era.
After reviewing her progress, Hua Yun finally started a live stream again, specifically notifying Chen Jiaojiao. There was no helping it; if she didn't tell her, that young lady would probably threaten to end their friendship.
This stream was much more formal than the last; at the very least, Hua Yun didn't just turn it on casually and answer questions at random.
"Welcome to the Peach Blossom Spring Planet live stream!" This was the name she had settled on after much thought.
"I wonder if you remember the famous essay 'The Peach Blossom Spring'? I have always loved the peace and beauty described within it. As it happened, I drew this 'wasteland development' graduation project, so I decided to build a planet similar to that. I think no one could dislike such a place." Hua Yun gave a brief introduction and posted the original text of "The Peach Blossom Spring" below the stream window.

Ten identical notifications floated across the screen. Hua Yun knew exactly who it was.
She immediately messaged Chen Jiaojiao.
Hua Yun: Jiaojiao, stop gifting!
Jiaojiao: No, I want to be the top contributor!
She hadn't managed it last time, and she had been waiting for this day for a long time.
Hua Yun: With so few people here, one ship is enough to take the top spot.
Hua Yun sighed. What could one say about having such a friend?
Chen Jiaojiao insisted that she needed to support her friend; what if others looked down on her? She, Chen Jiaojiao, was not short on money!
Hua Yun stopped replying. Seeing that Chen Jiaojiao had ceased her gifting, she turned her attention back to the stream. Many people had joined—no matter the world, there were always plenty of onlookers.
Hua Yun turned on the recording function and began to explain her plans to the audience.
"I plan to build a courtyard in this area, the kind with a very retro style. I’m not sure if you’re familiar with it."
"I think this area is suitable for planting various flora as a viewing garden."
"This section is for planting crops. If there’s an opportunity in the future, I can let everyone try them!"
"And here, I think it’s suitable to fence off and raise some animals!"
Hua Yun selected the parts of her plan that she could explain and presented them to the stream, while simultaneously uploading a set of blueprints.
