Chapter Thirty-Two: Infernal Depiction, Plummeting into the Netherworld!
The moment Su Yi saw the Severing Dragon, he knew fate had taken a turn. If he had to face the Blackhorn Dragon alone, it would be a deadly chase with no escape; only with the intervention of an external force did he have a sliver of hope.
Gritting his teeth, Su Yi made a decisive leap from the cliff wall. Below him, the Blackhorn Dragon fixed its gaze on him, roaring in furious rage.
“Eat this flash!” Su Yi, plummeting through the air, aimed a flash bomb right at the Blackhorn Dragon.
A sudden burst of blinding light forced the Blackhorn Dragon back a step, shaking its head in confusion. In the next instant, Su Yi fired his flying grapple, hooking it onto the dragon’s head. At that very moment, a colossal shadow blotted out the sun—a massive figure leapt from the cliff.
With a resounding crash, the Severing Dragon landed, turning its blazing maw toward the Blackhorn Dragon.
“All rounds—fire!” Su Yi swiftly steadied himself, glancing at the Severing Dragon while unloading all the scatter nuts from his launcher at the Blackhorn Dragon’s head.
A thunderous explosion erupted at point-blank range, startling the Blackhorn Dragon into a stumble. Terrified, it charged straight at the Severing Dragon.
With a roar, the Severing Dragon twisted its body, channeling power into its sword tail before smashing it down in a mighty blow.
A metallic screech tore through the sandstorm as the heavy sword tail, forged from countless metals, crashed down on the Blackhorn Dragon’s great horn.
There was a sharp crack—the blade met horn head-on, chipping a deep notch in the Blackhorn Dragon’s curved horn and tearing a gash across its brow. It was nearly blinded, and its enraged bellow sent sand and wind swirling in a violent tempest.
“Plan succeeded!” Su Yi, who had landed safely during the volley, finally breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the Blackhorn Dragon clash with the Severing Dragon.
The Severing Dragon swung its sword tail, sparks flying as it scraped against the ground. Flames ignited, and the blade, wrapped in metal, glowed fiery red—like a great sword wreathed in fire.
The Blackhorn Dragon growled low and menacing, lowering its head and aiming its razor-sharp demon horn at the Severing Dragon.
“Su Yi, stop spectating and get up here, now!” Greenleaf, the feline companion, clambered up the rock face and whispered an urgent reminder.
“Coming!” Su Yi replied reluctantly, but survival was more important. He fired his grappling hook and quickly hauled himself up the wall.
In that moment, chaos erupted below. The Severing Dragon and Blackhorn Dragon were locked in fierce combat. The Severing Dragon swept its blazing tail in a wave of fire that surged outwards—catching Su Yi just as he reached the top of the wall.
“Aaagh!” Su Yi’s hand jerked involuntarily from the searing flames, his grip on the hook slipping. He plummeted downward.
The Blackhorn Dragon, having dodged the fire wave, threw back its head and roared. Su Yi landed squarely on the bony plate atop its skull.
“Damn!” Su Yi cursed through the pain of his burns.
“Su Yi!” Without hesitation, the feline leapt down, landing behind him.
Suddenly, the Blackhorn Dragon dipped its head, causing Su Yi to slide off the bone plate. He hurriedly grabbed onto the dragon’s horn.
“Hurry up, Su Yi!” Greenleaf screamed in alarm.
Su Yi glanced in the direction the horn was pointing, and his blood ran cold. The Severing Dragon was grinding its blazing tail blade in its jaws, the impurities falling away like dust. The newly honed blade was aimed precisely at the Blackhorn Dragon’s horn—right where Su Yi clung.
With a furious roar, the Blackhorn Dragon charged the Severing Dragon, its horn leveled. The Severing Dragon’s eyes blazed with battle spirit as it braced itself, the tail blade ready to strike.
The Blackhorn Dragon’s raging charge collided with the Severing Dragon’s blazing tail spin!
“Hell!” Su Yi flung himself to the side with all his strength, throwing himself clear of the dragon’s head.
In the next instant, a sharp snap rang out. One of the Blackhorn Dragon’s jet-black horns was sent flying high, only to come crashing down and stabbing into the sand right beside Su Yi.
“Shit!” A cold sweat broke out on Su Yi as he stared at the broken horn, still glowing with fire and heat.
Meanwhile, the Blackhorn Dragon, now missing a horn to the Severing Dragon’s fiery tail, went berserk. It tossed the Severing Dragon skyward and slammed it to the ground.
The earth trembled, stones and dirt flying.
“Su Yi, are you alright?” Greenleaf, who had nimbly slipped off the dragon’s back in time, rushed to his side, worry etched on its face.
“I’m fine—just taking a little souvenir!” Su Yi scrambled to his feet, grabbed the severed dragon horn, and quickly stowed it in his inventory.
“I really shouldn’t get involved in these messes,” Su Yi muttered, still shaken.
But as if to punish his habit of watching chaos, the true harbinger of mayhem arrived.
A shrill, trumpeting cry pierced the sky!
Vast wings blotted out the sun!
Midnight-black explosive scales rained down!
It was here—the law enforcer of the New World, bringing its booming speakers with it!
Every gaze was drawn upward, riveted by the immense figure descending from the sky. From its chin to its chest, clusters of explosive scales hung from its glands, scattering in a deadly rain.
With a deafening crash, the Blastscale Dragon landed. Its black scales, struck by the impact, glowed red-hot and detonated in showers of fire, heralding the arrival of this savage, elegant beast.
In an instant, all three monsters unleashed furious roars, their thunderous bellows echoing across the canyon, battering Su Yi’s eardrums.
The Blackhorn Dragon, Severing Dragon, and Blastscale Dragon—what hellish scene was this?
Clutching his ears, Su Yi gritted his teeth.
The Blastscale Dragon reared up, its newly replenished scales slamming the earth in a violent display of power. Explosions erupted. The Blackhorn and Severing Dragons were not to be outdone, each venting their own might.
Sand and stones tumbled. Su Yi looked up to see the towering cliff wall beside him cracking from the ferocious battle. Rocks began to break away—disaster loomed.
“Run!” Su Yi bolted, Greenleaf sprinting on all fours behind him.
The Blastscale Dragon’s wings whipped up a storm of wind and dust. Su Yi shielded his face from the gale, darting past the titanic wings.
A sudden rush of air—he ducked low, never stopping as the Severing Dragon’s fiery tail blade swept past his arched back, scorching with its heat.
The Blackhorn Dragon dug in its wing claws, sending dirt and stone flying as it burrowed underground. The tremors split the earth, cracks racing toward the already-weakened cliff.
With a resounding crash, the cliff wall finally gave way, collapsing in a landslide of earth and stone—an apocalypse unleashed.
“We’re doomed!”
Su Yi stumbled, tripped by the splitting ground. The fissure widened, connecting with the shattered cliff. Soon, a dark, unfathomable chasm yawned below.
“Su Yi!” Greenleaf reached out with a paw, trying to grab him, only to find the ground beneath itself crumbling as well. In the next moment, both Greenleaf and Su Yi were swallowed by the chasm, tumbling with the falling rocks into the abyss below.
