Zeng Xiaofan smiled slightly and tapped his foot against the ground. The watermelon in the well was pressed deep into the water, and immediately, driven by the reaction force, it shot straight out of the surface.

With a splash, the watermelon leaped into the air, sending a spray of water everywhere. Seeing that Zeng Xiaofan’s feet were about to get wet, he swayed his body with effortless grace at the critical moment.

In the next second, he was already perched on the edge of the well, legs spread, holding the watermelon steadily—not a single drop of water had touched him.

Bai Qingyao watched, completely stunned. She hugged her chest, her face full of admiration. "Xiaofan... your agility is just too incredible!"

As she spoke, her gaze naturally wandered forward. Standing on the well’s rim, Zeng Xiaofan’s thighs were perfectly level with Bai Qingyao’s face. She caught a glimpse, and her entire body trembled slightly.

Zeng Xiaofan looked smug. "Auntie, do you believe my kung fu is real now? Is it impressive? Am I strong?"

"Strong... yes... very..." Bai Qingyao replied in a shy, hushed voice, her head bowed. "It’s simply... simply terrifying... too frightening..."

"Am I powerful or not?"

"Powerful, so powerful..."

"Are you convinced?"

"Convinced, convinced..." Bai Qingyao nodded repeatedly, truly too intimidated to offer any resistance.

"Then do you want to follow me and practice properly from now on?"

"I do... I will..." As she spoke, she seemed to think of something, and a shy smile finally graced her lips.

Zeng Xiaofan then accompanied Bai Qingyao back inside for dinner. During the meal, she asked him many questions. She was curious about where he had learned medicine and martial arts, and how he had managed to earn so much money so quickly from his business.

The fact that he had even bought a million-dollar imported pickup truck left her both pleasantly surprised and deeply worried. Zeng Xiaofan improvised some excuses to brush her off, pushing the responsibility onto Fan Bing whenever he couldn't explain something.

Thinking that Fan Bing, the powerful CEO of the Bishui Group, surely possessed such extraordinary capabilities, Bai Qingyao didn't dig any deeper. She simply urged him to repay her properly and warned him not to be corrupted by wealth—no keeping mistresses or indulging in vice.

Zeng Xiaofan nodded in agreement to everything. Just as the two were enjoying a cozy dinner at home, a murderous atmosphere hung over a cherry blossom grove far beyond the mountains.

Deep within the grove stood a wooden hut with a sloped roof, from which hung deep red lanterns inscribed with Japanese characters. Beneath the lanterns, two men knelt, shivering uncontrollably. They were the same bald brute and Zhou Xiaohu who had tried to force their way into the dilapidated cottage where Zeng Xiaofan and Li Bixian had been sheltering from the rain.

Standing before them was an alluring woman with short hair, dressed in a peach-colored kimono. Though she was petite, her figure was exceptionally curvaceous, barely contained by the thick fabric of her garment. More striking were the vibrant cherry blossoms tattooed on her delicate collarbone. Unlike ordinary pink, these petals were the color of fresh blood, trailing down her neckline as if they were falling, naturally drawing the eye downward. This provocative tattoo against her snow-white skin gave her an air of bewitching allure.

She had bright, watery eyes and a gentle, graceful appearance. Given her petite frame, she would typically have inspired a protective instinct in any man. Yet, Zhou Xiaohu looked at her as if she were a ghost; he trembled so violently he dared not look up, his spine chilling at the mere sight of her feet in their white socks and wooden sandals.

"You engaged in illegal grave robbing and destroyed cultural relics—a serious crime. By law, you should be facing at least three years in prison," the woman said coldly, staring down at them. "Do you know why the police let you out?"

Zhou Xiaohu kowtowed repeatedly, his voice trembling. "I know. It was you, Miss Sakura, who protected us in secret! You must have used your resources to save us... Thank you, Miss Sakura! Thank you!"

The woman let out a cold snort, her graceful steps revealing a glimpse of her slender ankles. "Do you know why I saved you?"

"I know, I know! I will work even harder to dig up more ancient tombs for you, Miss Sakura!" Zhou Xiaohu promised, not daring to lift his head.

The bald brute beside him also kowtowed frantically. "Yes, yes! Miss Sakura, as long as you let us go, we’ll go back to Taohua Village immediately and continue digging in that tomb! We’ll follow your orders, work overtime, and dig until that mountain range is completely torn apart!"

At these words, the corners of the woman’s mouth curled into a cold, mocking smile. "Look up. Let me see your clever head."

"Yes!" The bald man slowly looked up. The moment he saw her mesmerizing, exquisite face, a lustful glint flared in his eyes. For some reason, the moment he saw her, he forgot everything else. Her eyes seemed to possess a magical, bewitching power. One glance, and his heart was filled with only one thought: he wanted her. He wanted to be with her, madly and completely.

"You, look up too!" the woman commanded coldly. Zhou Xiaohu was terrified, his body shuddering, but under the crushing pressure, he was forced to lift his head. He dared not look at her face, only at the embroidery on her kimono, terrified to glance at her bare skin, let alone her collarbone or her eyes.

The bald man chuckled disdainfully. "Master Hu, it’s not that I want to say it... but Miss Sakura is so breathtakingly beautiful that I dream of looking at her more often. You, on the other hand, are so scared just by one look... are you even a man? Miss Sakura isn't as scary as you make her out to be... Honestly, you have no appreciation for beauty..."

The bald man continued to cast fawning glances at her, failing to notice that Zhou Xiaohu had turned deathly pale, unable to even speak.

The woman looked down at the bald man with a cold sneer. "Your head is indeed quite clever... It seems you truly understand women..."

As she spoke, she reached out a finger and lightly touched the bald man’s face. The man’s expression turned lewd; he leaned in, sniffing her hand deeply, looking utterly intoxicated.
