Chapter 108: Kidnapping the Little Girl

The man followed Lu Yunqing to a quiet street corner with few passersby, then quickly caught up and blocked his path. His beast-like eyes sent a chill down the spine.

“Who are you? What do you want? My brother is the head of the Tuen Mun Anti-Triad Unit,” Lu Yunqing said coldly.

Inside a secret branch of the Sky Alliance, Bang En tossed the unconscious Lu Yunqing onto the floor. Nearby, Bang Xin was engaged with an unusual “female dog,” a sly smile playing on her lips. The term “female dog” was literal here: the young woman was sprawled on the ground like a dog, wearing a collar and chain around her neck, her body covered in bruises. She was the woman Bang Xin had beaten viciously days ago, yet here she was, kept like a pet all this time.

They want you to come alone to the abandoned school on Shangye Road, Tuen Mun, at 2 p.m. If you’re not there by then, they’ll send back a corpse. Pao Ge, I think you shouldn’t go. This is clearly a planned attack targeting you. They’ve likely prepared everything, just waiting for you to walk into the trap.”

There was a long silence on the other end. Chen Erpao was stunned by the sudden news. He hadn’t known Lu Yunqing for long. If they wanted to threaten him by capturing someone, why choose her? Few knew of their relationship. This must be a coincidence—they captured her and now planned to use her against him. They were probably new arrivals to Hong Kong, otherwise they would know more about his situation.

Calmly, Chen Erpao replied over the phone, “I can’t let an innocent life be sacrificed because of me. She took good care of me in the hospital, which is why I recovered so quickly. You stay at headquarters and keep watch in case they make another move. If I’m not back by 3 p.m., immediately notify Wang Xing to take control of the situation.”
