Chapter 25: The Four Great Clans
Shortly after the two had been eating for a while, Wang Xing returned, bringing Li Meili along with him. Li Meili's complexion had improved noticeably, and she seemed much closer to Wang Xing than before. Chen Erpao immediately had Wang Xuemei serve them both, and the four of them enjoyed their sumptuous dinner together.
The meal lasted late into the evening. Afterwards, Li Meili and Wang Xing left together. As soon as they were gone, Wang Xuemei began cleaning up, and it wasn't until nearly eleven o'clock that everything was finally in order.
She then took Chen Erpao’s clothes for bathing and changing over to her own room, which made Chen Erpao feel utterly content—having a woman in his life really did make a difference. Yet he didn’t insist on Wang Xuemei staying with him that night; after another brief moment of intimacy, they each returned to their own rooms to rest.
The next morning, he woke up especially early. Whether it was due to the excitement of the previous night, he couldn’t say, but his body was certainly eager. Chen Erpao glanced helplessly at his own enthusiasm, checked the time, and decided it was best to get up. After washing, he hurried to Wang Xuemei’s door.
He knocked several times before a lazy response sounded from within.
Before long, the door opened. Wang Xuemei stood before him, hair in disarray, wearing a silky, off-shoulder pink nightdress that barely reached her thighs. Her fair, glowing skin was revealed in several places, shimmering softly in the morning light.
Chen Erpao gazed at her as if appreciating a priceless work of art. A faint blush colored Wang Xuemei’s cheeks and she rolled her eyes at him with a hint of annoyance. “Haven’t you stared enough?”
“Honestly, I haven’t,” Chen Erpao replied, and suddenly wrapped his arms around her slender, supple waist as if he couldn’t bear to let her go.
“I’ll never see enough of you. If I can’t finish admiring you this lifetime, I’ll carry on into the next,” he said, his eyes filled with genuine affection. At his words, Wang Xuemei’s body softened, and she melted once more into his embrace.
That morning, Chen Erpao wore a fitted, casual outfit. After a fresh haircut and shave, he looked much younger; his upright, strong figure exuded a masculine charm that made Wang Xuemei feel as if she were rediscovering a new side of this man.
Unable to resist, Chen Erpao lowered his head to kiss her half-parted lips. There was a faint taste of morning breath, perhaps because she hadn’t brushed her teeth yet, but her soft little tongue was tender and inviting. Meanwhile, his hands wandered restlessly, roaming her body until they reached her firm, full chest.
He chuckled softly, delighted to discover she wore nothing beneath her nightdress. The sensation was too good to let go of; his hands kneaded and played, molding her curves into countless enticing shapes.
With two fingers, he suddenly pinched her delicate peak, causing Wang Xuemei to tremble violently, her body yielding even further, as if she could barely stand.
After a while, Chen Erpao reluctantly released her exquisite form—any further delay, and he would be late for work.
Wang Xuemei, eyes shy but glimmering, shot him a fierce look before grabbing her underclothes and jacket and hurrying to the bathroom. Chen Erpao smiled, amused by her bashfulness; she still couldn’t bring herself to change in front of him.
When she emerged, she was fully dressed in a white short-sleeved shirt and tight jeans that hugged her curves perfectly. The sight nearly sent Chen Erpao’s blood rushing once again.
They headed downstairs together. Chen Erpao prepared to drive his brand-new S-Class Mercedes to the school, though Wang Xuemei had no idea that this luxurious vehicle now belonged to the man beside her.
“That S-Class Mercedes has been parked here since yesterday. I wonder which wealthy person has come to our neighborhood,” Wang Xuemei remarked as she admired the car from a distance.
Chen Erpao grinned. “Would you like to try it out?”
Wang Xuemei smiled and shook her head. “The Mercedes is nice, but my masked hero is better. As long as you’re the one driving, I’m happy just sitting by your side.”
He gently tapped her on the forehead before saying nothing more. Taking her soft hand, he led her to the car, opened the door with a flourish, and offered her a gentleman’s bow.
“My beautiful lady, please get in.”
Wang Xuemei’s face was full of surprise and delight. After a moment’s pause, she burst into laughter. “Just how many secrets are you keeping from me?”
Chen Erpao replied calmly, “My heart is as clear as the sun and moon; the car was merely a gift from someone else.”
“Who would be foolish enough to just give away an S-Class Mercedes? You’re not fooling me,” Wang Xuemei replied, turning her head in mock annoyance.
Chen Erpao could only smile helplessly—there really was someone that foolish, insistent on giving him the car even when he tried to refuse.
Driving the Mercedes toward the school, they drew nearly every eye along the way; after all, such a car was rare and expensive.
Soon, they arrived at the school gates. Wang Xing had already arrived and was admiring the Mercedes when he saw it pull up.
When Chen Erpao rolled down the window and grinned at him, Wang Xing was momentarily stunned, likely cursing inwardly: “Unbelievable! Just yesterday you were a security guard at the gate with me, and today you’re the owner of an S-Class Mercedes. Maybe he’s become a chauffeur for some tycoon.”
“Brother Pao, why’d you leave me behind? Being a security guard isn’t so bad—why become a driver?”
“Brother, I’d never abandon you. I’ll come keep you company in a bit,” Chen Erpao replied with heartfelt sincerity. Anyone overhearing might have thought they shared a special bond.
“My good brother, I’ll be waiting,” Wang Xing said, deeply moved. Wang Xuemei, standing nearby, couldn’t help but chuckle at their exchange.
Just then, a commotion broke out at the school gate. Four young women, each stunning and possessing an air of unapproachable confidence, approached, flanked by a dozen bodyguards. Instantly, the Mercedes was forgotten as all eyes turned to them.
One had the gentle smile of an angel blessing the world, another was cold as ice, untouched by the ages, the third possessed a childlike innocence that inspired endless imagination, and the fourth moved with a light, energetic step, revealing the strength of a formidable woman.
“The ladies from the Four Great Families are truly something else,” Wang Xing murmured, nearly losing his composure as his eyes threatened to pop out.
“They really are from the Four Great Families. I didn’t expect this,” Chen Erpao muttered to himself. With his background as a special forces king, there were things he knew that ordinary people could not begin to imagine.
