Chapter 151: Anning Returns
The nanny van pulled up in front of the RT Entertainment building. Shen Qing stepped out with fluid, efficient movements.
Lu Xuanyou glanced at the bread she had barely touched, his deep eyes narrowing in focus.
"Boss, are we not moving?" the assistant asked in a low voice, noticing Lu Xuanyou’s momentary lapse into thought.
"Right, let’s go." Lu Xuanyou smiled at him, lowered his gaze, picked up the leftover bread Shen Qing had abandoned, and tossed it into a trash can after stepping out of the car.
Shen Qing waited by the vehicle. Lu Xuanyou wore no mask; RT Entertainment prioritized security, and paparazzi or obsessive fans could not infiltrate this area.
"Qingqing," Lu Xuanyou said with a smile as he walked to her side, entering the main lobby with her.
"The company has changed quite a bit over the last two years. Look here." Lu Xuanyou gestured toward a corner of the lobby where a white swing sat. "Doesn't it look just like the one from your tour?"
Shen Qing glanced in the direction he pointed, her eyes devoid of emotion. "It's fine."
Lu Xuanyou chuckled and reached out to drape an arm over her shoulder, but Shen Qing shifted slightly, causing his hand to grasp only empty air.
The assistant, trailing behind them, watched in stunned silence.
Every female artist would give anything to manufacture a scandal with Lu Xuanyou, yet this young girl was giving their "God of Wealth" the cold shoulder again!
"Boss, you're here," a stylishly dressed woman said, approaching to greet Lu Xuanyou.
Lu Xuanyou was the first artist to debut under RT. A three-time consecutive winner of the Golden Elephant Award for Best Actor, every film he starred in grossed over a hundred million, and every television drama he appeared in became an international sensation. With his exceptional looks and undeniable talent, he was the undisputed big brother of RT.
Lu Xuanyou nodded with a smile, and the woman’s gaze shifted to Shen Qing—a newcomer she had never seen before.
"Boss, who is this?" The woman scrutinized Shen Qing. She looked very young, likely under twenty, with delicate features, yet her eyes held a sense of distance that made her seem rather unapproachable.
"An old acquaintance," Lu Xuanyou said vaguely, then led Shen Qing toward the elevators.
The assistant hurried to follow, but the woman grabbed his arm. "Little assistant, who is that woman with the boss? His girlfriend? Or his sister?"
"I don’t know either. Look, don't ask me, I have to go." The assistant gently removed her hand and squeezed into the elevator just as the doors began to close.
The elevator stopped at the fifteenth floor. The assistant was taken aback; the fifteenth floor was An Ning’s private recording studio, and the regular elevators were not supposed to stop there.
What was the boss thinking? Bringing an outsider to An Ning’s space? Wouldn't they be torn apart by An Ning’s former team?
The fifteenth floor was quite empty. As soon as they stepped out of the elevator, they saw a poster of An Ning hanging on the wall. The young woman in the photo wore a long black dress, a dramatic ghost mask covering her face, her bare feet stepping on a vibrant, blooming red rose. Beside her were the bold, powerful characters: An Ning.
Shen Qing looked at it for a second, a flicker of hesitation in her expression before she lowered her eyes and walked toward the studio inside.
The assistant felt a surge of panic and looked at Lu Xuanyou with concern. "Boss, this is An Ning’s territory. If that young lady just barges in, won't she offend An Ning’s people?"
Although An Ning had long since left RT, her influence remained profound, and the team that had worked under her refused to vacate the space.
Once, a new singer had taken a liking to the equipment and venue on the fifteenth floor and tried to renovate it, leading to a bitter confrontation with An Ning’s former staff.
RT Entertainment had risen to fame because of An Ning, so the company eventually conceded, keeping the fifteenth floor reserved for her.
Lu Xuanyou watched Shen Qing’s retreating figure and said lightly, "It’s fine," before following her.
By then, Shen Qing had reached a door and raised her hand to open it.
The assistant watched this, his mouth twitching violently. This was a disaster!
"Hey, don't just touch things!" the assistant whispered, not daring to speak too loudly on the fifteenth floor.
Shen Qing had already pushed the door open and stepped inside.
The assistant turned pale. He looked at Lu Xuanyou, who was as calm as a spring breeze, and couldn't believe he was still smiling!
"You... An Ning!" The people inside were initially annoyed, but upon seeing the intruder, their eyes widened abruptly, their voices trembling with an imperceptible shock.
The assistant paused. An Ning?
"Where is An Ning?"
"An Ning is back!"
"Oh my god! It really is An Ning!"
