Chapter 92: Is It Sweet With You?
Nie Huan immediately stopped in her tracks, almost not registering what he had said. It took her two seconds to respond.
“Yes, the Pig-Raising Handbook.”
Hearing such a serious answer from Nie Huan, Chu Yu’s lips twitched. “Then please, carry on.”
Mrs. Chu glanced back, noticing that Chu Yu had talked with the girl named Nie Huan for quite a while before leaving, her mouth pressed even tighter.
“Auntie, what are you looking at?” Xia Mang propped her chin up and asked.
“Who are you calling auntie?” Mrs. Chu glared at Xia Mang, turning her head away in annoyance.
Xia Mang chuckled, leaning forward a little. “Your son calls me ‘sister,’ so shouldn’t I call you ‘auntie’?”
Mrs. Chu pursed her lips and gripped the letter tightly. Upon hearing Xia Mang’s words, she stopped reading and stuffed the letter straight back into its envelope.
What kind of people fill this class?

Xie Mingming’s prepared speech was long, and it took her ages to wrap up.
Shen Qing listened impatiently, shoved her phone into her pocket, and strode out the back door.
Xie Mingming caught a glimpse of her leaving from the podium, paused for a moment, then continued speaking.
Gu Ting glanced back—she was already gone—so he got up and followed her out.
“Eh? Why is everyone leaving?” Xia Mang lifted her head from the desk; the others who had been standing nearby and behind her were all gone. Had they gone on a date?
Oh well, not her business—she might as well go back to sleep.

“Want some candy?” Gu Ting tapped Shen Qing from behind.
When the girl finally turned around at her own slow pace, he opened his fist in front of her. In his palm lay a piece of candy wrapped in bright red, with four flamboyant characters: “May You Bear Noble Offspring.”
Shen Qing blinked in surprise, then looked up and asked, “Wedding candy?”
“No, it’s custom packaging from Dongfang Cheng.” Gu Ting lowered his gaze, pinched the candy with one hand, and with the other lifted his jacket to show off the translucent, wine-red candy inside.
“These are delicious. I tried one.” He held the candy gently through the wrapper, and brought it close to Shen Qing’s lips.
“Thank you.” Shen Qing took the candy with her hand and put it in her mouth herself.
“Is it good?” Gu Ting lightly pinched the finger Shen Qing had touched, his gaze fixed earnestly on her eyes.
“Yes.” Shen Qing chewed twice, the candy already swallowed, but a trace of sweetness lingering in her throat.
“Is it sweet?”
Shen Qing nodded. “It is.”
“Sweeter than you?” Gu Ting stepped forward, nearly reaching the tips of Shen Qing’s shoes.
Shen Qing narrowed her eyes; the man was close, his eyes dark and deep, staring intently at her.
“You’re flirting with a student. I’m going to report you.”
Gu Ting froze for a second, then after a moment let out a low laugh and took a step back. “Sorry, I overstepped.”
Shen Qing watched as he drew a handful of “May You Bear Noble Offspring” candies from his pocket, her gaze dimming slightly—he had come prepared.
“All right then.” Shen Qing pocketed all the candies.
“Tired? Want to nap in the office?” Usually, the little girl would be napping at this hour.
Shen Qing checked the time on her phone—it was already half past ten.
“No, Xia Mang is still here.”
“Okay, lunch together? Bring your sister and Nie Huan too—my treat.” There was a class meeting today, but no classes in the afternoon.
“Sure,” Shen Qing agreed, since she wasn’t paying anyway.
“Hmm, I need to take a call.” Gu Ting glanced at his phone, and when Shen Qing nodded, he walked off to answer it.
Shen Qing glanced at him, then leaned against the railing and closed her eyes to rest.
“Sis Qing, when did you come out?”
A chubby boy approached, phone in hand, looking like he’d just finished a call.
“Not long ago,” Shen Qing answered, eyes half-closed.
The chubby boy let out an “Oh.” “Sis Qing, I’m going to meet my dad.”
Both his parents were busy with work and hadn’t come to the parent meeting. Just now, his dad had suddenly called, said he was at the school, and asked which class he was in.
“My dad doesn’t even know my class—I doubt he remembers what year I’m in,” the chubby boy muttered. As they turned the corner, a tall figure appeared on the stairs.
“Chubby, there you are.”
At the sound of the newcomer’s voice, Shen Qing glanced over. When she saw his face clearly, her eyes narrowed slightly.
“Dad, you’re so late, the parent meeting is almost over.” The chubby boy ran over to complain, but his grin was radiant.
“I got here as soon as I finished work. How’d you do this time? Did you break 500?”
At the mention of his score, the smile froze on the chubby boy’s face.
“Almost... Dad, let me introduce you—this is my classmate, Sis Qing!”
