Chapter 77: Copied from the Internet
"With a brain like a pig’s, what’s the point of studying? Why not find someone to marry early? If you’re pretty enough, maybe you could even become a rich man’s wife."
Nie Huan’s brows knitted together, and she shot to her feet.
"Teacher, please show some respect when you speak."
A contemptuous smirk curled at the edge of Teacher Cao’s lips, disdain clear in her eyes.
"Did I call your name, single you out? Why are you so worked up?"
"Teacher, let’s just continue with the lesson. So many classmates are still waiting," Yao Panpan stood up, trying to smooth things over.
Teacher Cao’s eyes widened, her voice sharp. "Is it your place to speak? With that attitude, what’s the point of having class? Honestly, I’m just wasting my time here—why don’t you all just go to sleep instead!"
"Teacher… I’m sorry," Yao Panpan’s nose stung with tears, and she sat down, head bowed.
Shen Qing slowly lifted her head. The bloodshot veins in her eyes were stark and crimson, making her look almost frightening.
"Is this your excuse for skipping class?" she asked, rising to her feet and pressing Nie Huan back into her seat with one hand.
"Shen Qing, are you rebelling now?" Teacher Cao’s forehead veins bulged with anger.
"I’ve always been like this. Is this your first day teaching me?" Shen Qing smiled, but her gaze was icy.
"You… You’re really something. If you’re so capable, why don’t you teach the class yourself?" Teacher Cao flung the stack of test papers onto the lectern and stormed out of the classroom in a rage.
The moment she left, Class Three erupted into chaos, a cacophony of whispered discussions filling the room.
Shen Qing rubbed her temples, kicked her desk hard, and spoke in a low, impatient growl, "You’re all so noisy."
Instantly, the class fell silent. From the front row came the sound of a girl sobbing.
"Does anyone have tissues?" Shen Qing reached out her hand to Nie Huan, who took a fresh pack from her drawer and handed it over.
Shen Qing walked straight to Yao Panpan’s side. "Crying just because the old bat glared at you? So useless?"
The chubby boy nearby couldn’t help twitching at the corners of his mouth.
This was some hardcore comforting!
Yao Panpan wiped her tears, her eyes red and swollen. "Sister Qing, I’m fine."
Shen Qing glanced at her, then strode up to the lectern.
"What’s Sister Qing doing?" Chu Yu turned to ask Nie Huan, thoroughly baffled by her strange behavior. Was she planning to challenge Teacher Cao?
"She’s going to teach," Nie Huan replied coolly. The teacher had left, but the rest of the class still needed a lesson.
"What?" Chu Yu was stunned. Was this a joke? The notorious zero-score queen was going to teach physics?
"Sister Qing, what are you doing?" Yao Panpan stared at the girl in disbelief.
Shen Qing grabbed a piece of chalk and began writing on the blackboard. Her hand flew across the board, and in no time, it was covered with formulas and calculations.
"Holy crap! Isn’t that the question old Cao spent an entire lesson on yesterday? Sister Qing solved it with just three formulas!"
"Wow! I didn’t know you could solve these problems this way!"
"I asked the physics teacher about this last time, and even he couldn’t work it out."
"No way! Was Sister Qing just pretending to be a bad student?"
"Sister Qing is awesome!"
"This is unreal!"
"Did Sister Qing get possessed or something?"
Shen Qing tossed the chalk back in the tray, turned, and swept her gaze over the class.
"Do you understand?" Her tone was cold, utterly emotionless.
"We understand," the class replied in unison.
"Then figure it out yourselves. Don’t make a racket," Shen Qing dusted the chalk off her hands and settled back into her seat to sleep.
Sure enough, the class remained perfectly quiet. Not a word was spoken.
About ten minutes later, Xie Mingming hurried into the classroom, surprised to find everyone quietly copying notes.
"What’s going on?" Xie Mingming walked up to the lectern and saw the beautifully organized solutions on the board.
"Teacher Cao is so nice—she left you all a blackboard full of notes, even after she stormed out?" Xie Mingming was astonished. The Teacher Cao he remembered would never do such a thing.
Seeing Xie Mingming arrive, Yao Panpan’s sense of grievance flared up again.
"Mr. Xie…"
"Yao Panpan, tell me what happened," Xie Mingming said.
Yao Panpan stood up, "Mr. Xie, keep your voice down—Sister Qing is sleeping."
"…"
"The notes on the board were written by Sister Qing."
Xie Mingming was taken aback. "Are you serious?"
Yao Panpan and the other classmates each added their own account of what had happened.
Now Xie Mingming’s head was spinning. Still, he was genuinely surprised by what he heard about Shen Qing.
"Shen Qing." Xie Mingming tapped her desk.
She lifted her head, eyes red as blood, startling him.
Had she been up all night stealing?
"You wrote everything on the board?" Xie Mingming was a bit excited now. Who would have thought their class’s own Shen Qing was a hidden genius?
Shen Qing glanced at the blackboard and replied lazily, "I copied it from online."
"…"
"Fine, go back to sleep."
