Chapter 114: Truly Sexy
On Bar Street, Chen Yadong put his arm around Mu Qingyang and slowly led him into the bar at the very end of the block, a place called Fragrant Bloom.
Among the bars on that street, Fragrant Bloom was neither large nor small, a mid-sized place where all sorts of illicit dealings were common; gambling and drugs were nothing unusual there. Mu Qingxi knew that, which was why the moment she ran away, she knew exactly where to look.
But for Mu Qingyang, who was still in middle school, it was all utterly unfamiliar. He knew about drugs and such in theory, but had never actually seen them, and he had no idea this bar was a den of crime.
As soon as they stepped inside, the place was a riot of flashing lights and drunken revelry. Men and women with dyed hair filled the room; the men wore slovenly, flamboyant clothes, each in a style of his own, while most of the women dressed in revealing, provocative outfits.
Mu Qingyang watched the people in the middle of the dance floor swaying madly. The women wore hot pants and heavy makeup, twisting their slim waists and shaking their exaggeratedly ample chests, drawing the men around them closer and closer.
Just as he was being dazzled by the shifting, multicolored lights, Mu Qingyang saw that some of the men had become terribly bold, reaching their hands toward the wild dancers among them.
The women neither dodged nor resisted, and instead shot flirtatious glances at the men trying to grope them, hurling such intense waves of seduction that those men were instantly left dazed and disoriented.
This was Mu Qingyang’s first time in a bar. He had never imagined that the bars on Bar Street would be like this. So when his sister had said she always came here to have fun, was this really the kind of place she meant?
Meanwhile, Chen Yadong beside him was greeting people there as if he knew them well.
“Brother Chen, you finally came. It’s been ages since we last saw you!” said a beautiful woman in black hot pants and black stockings, resting her hand on Chen Yadong’s shoulder with a sultry smile.
Chen Yadong glanced at Mu Qingyang and said, “That’s right. I’ve just taken on a little friend here, and today’s his first time out. I brought him here to broaden his horizons. What do you think, interested?”
The woman in black folded her arms beneath her chest and sized up Mu Qingyang, who stood well over five and a half feet tall.
Looking at the woman whose breasts seemed ready to burst straight out of her clothes, Mu Qingyang felt nauseated. He said with earnest concern, “Auntie, can’t you afford to buy clothes?”
Chen Yadong and the woman both froze at his words. What was that supposed to mean?
Though the sultry woman was displeased at being called Auntie by such a young boy, she was, after all, someone who had seen the world. Suppressing her irritation, she said coyly, “What a unique little handsome guy. You’re actually concerned about our clothing.”
Mu Qingyang said disdainfully, “Auntie, are you deaf or blind? Does my look somehow suggest I’m concerned about your food and clothing?”
The infuriating remark made Chen Yadong furious. He had kindly brought him here to have some fun, and this was the thanks he got—making trouble for him in front of everyone. With visible dissatisfaction, he said, “Qingyang, how can you speak to a beauty like that? She’s—”
Ever since Chen Yadong had brought him here, Mu Qingyang had felt that something was off. If he were really a good person, would he bring him to a place like this for his first outing? He did not know exactly what went on here, but from the way people on the dance floor were moving with such frenzy and excitement, he could tell they were not normal.
Without even realizing it, Mu Qingyang had already slipped out from under Chen Yadong’s hand. Looking at the several people who had surrounded him, seven in all, all of them rough-looking and swaggering, plus three muscular men, he tightened his fists.
He watched Chen Yadong standing at the edge of the group, staring at him with a blank expression.
At that moment, Mu Qingyang truly hated himself. He had always thought he was grown up now, that he could see people clearly. He had never imagined he could be fooled so easily.
