Xi Haifei and Bai Fanhao quietly stared at Mu Qingxi. Xu Hongliang went over to help Wang Feiyan up, and Wang Feiyan rushed between Xi Haifei and Bai Fanhao, grabbing them both as she wept, her tears streaming like rain from a pear blossom. "Haifei, Fanhao, you saw it, didn’t you? Please, you must help me, please..."

"Mu Qingxi, aren’t you being too much? Feiyan is so gentle, how could she bear the way you hit her?" Wu Huan demanded.

Xi Haifei glanced at Mu Qingxi, then looked at Wang Feiyan and said, "Stop crying. Go back and put some ice water on your face. We’ll deal with what comes next."

Wang Feiyan, seeing that Xi Haifei was ignoring her, turned to Bai Fanhao, wailing, "Fanhao, please, Fanhao..."

Bai Fanhao, clearly irritated, said, "Enough. Stop crying, will you? It’s annoying. I’ll take you to Haifei so you can cool your face."

Mu Qingxi watched them quietly as Wang Feiyan and Bai Fanhao walked past her. The rest of the group slowly surrounded her, each eyeing her like a wolf stalking prey.

Mu Qingxi looked at Xi Haifei’s cold expression, but Xi Haifei stepped in front of her, staring at her intently. Calmly, she said, "Xi Haifei, are you planning to gang up on me?"

But the next moment, Xi Haifei turned to the group and said, "Wu Huan, Xu Hongliang, are you sure you want to lay a hand on her?"

The moment Bai Fanhao heard Mu Qingxi say ‘gang up’, he stopped in his tracks. Seeing the situation, he quickly released Wang Feiyan’s arm, stepped forward, and said to the group, "If you want to get yourselves killed, go ahead and try. I guarantee you'll spend more time in the hospital than she will."

Bai Fanhao pointed at her, leaving her momentarily stunned—what did he mean?

Wang Feiyan, watching the two defend Mu Qingxi, questioned incredulously, "Haifei, Fanhao, what’s the meaning of this? Are you taking her side? Have I known you for years or has she?"

"Wang Feiyan, if you don’t shut up, I promise your fate will be worse than Feng Han’s," Bai Fanhao snapped coldly.

So, it was because of her cousin—did they know Feng Han? What did ‘Feng Han’s fate’ mean?

"Bai Fanhao, what do you mean? What happened to Feng Han? You know him? What happened?" she hurried to Bai Fanhao’s side, asking anxiously.

"You don’t know?" Bai Fanhao replied in surprise.

"Bai Fanhao, tell me, please, hurry!" Mu Qingxi grabbed Bai Fanhao’s shirt desperately, hoping he would tell her what had happened to Feng Han.

"You’re fighting openly now!"

Director Xin from the Academic Affairs Office—this was bad. Mu Qingxi quickly ducked behind Xi Haifei.

"Xi Haifei, Bai Fanhao, Wu Huan, and Wang Feiyan, weren’t you supposed to be at university? Why are you behaving like this here? What are you doing?" Director Xin scolded sternly. He glanced behind Xi Haifei and asked, "Xi Haifei, who’s behind you? Step forward!"

When the person behind didn’t step out, Director Xin came over and pulled her out. Mu Qingxi dodged and quickly stood up to run.

"Mu Qingxi, you’re fighting again!" Director Xin shouted angrily.

Hearing Director Xin’s words, Mu Qingxi silently protested. What did he mean ‘again’? This was her first fight here!

No matter, it was bad to be caught by Uncle Xin—she had to escape. She didn’t care about Xi Haifei and the others; Uncle Xin could call their names, so they must be familiar, and she wasn’t going to worry about them. As for the onlookers, she ignored them, keeping her head down as she fled.

Director Xin was her father’s closest friend. Uncle Xin’s family had no daughters, only two sons, so he treated his goddaughter, Mu Qingxi, exceptionally well—better than his own sons. He always scolded her with a heavy heart but never truly had it in him to berate her.

Mu Qingxi thought to herself that she would have to ask Bai Fanhao about Feng Han another time.

Feng Han, who had vanished from her life for so long, she thought she had forgotten him, but now, when his name was mentioned, her longing returned.

Was he still holding resentment toward her?
